The Consultation
Before any introduction is made, we meet with you personally. This is a private, unhurried conversation — in person where possible, or via a secure call — conducted by one of our senior matchmakers.
The consultation is not an interview. It is a conversation. We are not assessing whether you meet our standards — you have already passed that threshold by reaching this stage. We are learning who you are in a way that no written document can capture.
This conversation typically runs between ninety minutes and three hours. It covers territory that may surprise you. We are not just asking about what you want in a partner. We are understanding the full architecture of your life.
The Search
Following your consultation, the active search begins. Our matchmakers review our private network — a curated circle of verified, vetted individuals across New Zealand and internationally — for potential matches.
We also conduct outreach through our wider circle. If the right person for you is not currently in our private network, we will find them. This might mean approaching individuals who are not actively seeking a matchmaker but who we believe represent an exceptional match for you specifically.
Every potential match is subjected to the same rigorous process you went through. Background verification. Personal consultation. Values alignment assessment. Only those who pass every stage are presented to you.
The Introduction
When we are confident in a potential match, we arrange the introduction. We manage every detail — the venue, the timing, the context — to ensure the environment is as conducive to genuine connection as possible.
You will know relatively little about the person you are meeting before you meet them. This is intentional. We have found that detailed advance profiles create expectations and biases that can undermine an otherwise exceptional connection. What you will know is that this person has been selected specifically for you, by professionals who know you both.
After the Introduction
Our role does not end with the introduction. Following every meeting, we conduct a private debrief with both parties. This conversation is candid and confidential. It helps us refine the search, understand what resonated and what did not, and continue moving toward the right connection.
